Fit India Movement | “There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the ‘Fit India Movement’ on the National Sports Day, at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday, Aug 29, 2019.

The launch was also attended by sports minister Kiren Rijiju, this year’s National Sports Awards winners, Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.

He emphasized on the importance of physical activity and fitness. He has also said that success and fitness are interrelated. He also said that many successful icons in their own respective fields have always focused in some way on their physical fitness. He has made Zig Ziglar alive again by quoting his famous words, “There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.”

There is really no dispute on the value of physical fitness. The following words of Buddha should echo in our minds when it comes to our physical health and well-being:

To keep the body in good health is a duty …. otherwise we shall not be able to keep the mind strong and clear.
